Sunrisers Hyderabad suffered another blow as Bhuvneshwar Kumar sustained an injury while bowling the second-last over in the game against the Chennai Super Kings. Turns out that Bhuvneshwar Kumar will take serious time to get back fully fit. It is a loss for the franchise but on the other hand, it is a huge blow to the pacer as well.

Bhuvneshwar’s injury is supposed to be a long one and that means the player will miss the series against Australia too. Kumar has been waiting for a while now to wear the blue jersey but he will now have to wait more and do everything he can to get back in action.

For Sunrisers, a 22-year-old young pacer Prithvi Raj Yarra has been called up. He is a left-arm pacer from Andhra Pradesh and was a part of the Kolkata Knight Riders last season. Coincidently the made his debut against SRH and his performance earned him yet another chance to play against Rajasthan Royals at the Eden Gardens. However, he was released at the end of the season and was in search of a new opportunity.

Bhuvneshwar played every game for SRH this season and managed to pick four wickets with an economy of 6.98. He was still not at his best and that shows the precedent he’s set in the previous seasons. Sunrisers clinched the game against CSK but Bhuvi’s absentee was completely felt in their next game against Mumbai Indians.

Sunrisers Hyderabad currently reside in the bottom half of the table and it will take some effort for Warner and Co. to bounce make a loss from now on will keep reducing their chances to make it to the playoffs. Prithvi will be under pressure and he will have to think of his future games and perform accordingly to make the playing XI on a regular basis.

For Bhuvneshwar, the story is not brand new as the bowler has had a tough time in terms of fitness. He missed five games in the IPL 2018 too and later on was replaced from the national squad. The performances have been there for the bowler but the fitness hasn’t.
