The most successful team in the Indian Premier League, Mumbai Indians, is one of the pioneers of the tournament and a team that holds one of the biggest fan bases in the nation.
The five-time champions will feature a new-look side which will include an intriguing combination of youngsters, veterans and players who have been vital forces in the domestic T20 circuit.
The team led by Rohit Sharma had a rather mediocre outing in the last season, finishing 5th in the points table and missing the top four finish on the virtue of a lower net-rate. The current Indian skipper would be hoping to make a comeback this season and lead his side to a record 6th title win.

The Mumbai Indians have their top three intact and the presence of Kieron Pollard in the middle is likely to help maintain the supremacy in the batting. Tim David is another hard striker of the ball and if he along with Pollard gets going then there is probably no bowling unit that can stop them.
Their spin attack is rather inexperienced at the highest level and the whole attack is likely to revolve around the spearhead Bumrah. Daniel Sams and Tymal Mills will definitely provide some experience and variety but they have been very expense in the shortest format and that may turn out to be a problem for Rohit Sharma considering how friendly the batting conditions will be.
The side is solid in terms of their batting, however their bowling is likely to be dependent on one player and for that reason we feel they might just fall short of making it to the play-offs this time around. However, with the return of Jofra Archer in the next season, the story is expected to completely change.
