The 7th match of the Indian Premier League 2022 is set to take place between the defending champions Chennai Super Kings and the debutant Lucknow Super Giants at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai, this Thursday. Both the sides are yet to get off the mark, the CSK were thrashed by the KKR in the season opener, while the Super Giants were made to taste defeat by Gujarat Titans.

The Lucknow Super Giants too will take the field on the back of a defeat, however, after being 29 for 4 in the 5th overs, the resistance showed by IPL debutant Ayush Badoni and Deepak Hooda to boost them to a respectable total of 158 runs would have definitely elevated the morale of the franchise. It could be interesting to see how things would turn out to be if the opening duo of KL Rahul and Quinton de Kock does get into the groove.

CSKโs no.3, Robin Uthappa, was in splendid touch in the opening encounter, and in his cameo of 28 runs off 21 balls, he managed to play some gorgeous shots, and definitely, that was just a teaser of what is to come. He along with Evin Lewis of the Super Giants are likely to pile on the runs.
