After an intense battle between 38 sides, which lasted for over three weeks. We are now just a day away from witnessing the grand final of the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2021. The grand domestic tournament which started on the 20th of February will feature Uttar Pradesh and Mumbai taking on each other this Sunday, at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.
The two-times champions Mumbai who last lifted the trophy in 2006, will be hoping they can bring home the cup after a gap of 14 years. Uttar Pradesh on the other hand started their campaign as the underdogs but have done a commendable job to overcome the odds and make it to the finals.
All eyes will be focused on Mumbai’s captain Prithvi Shaw, who is on a phenomenal run already topping the run charts with consecutive centuries and a double century. Getting him out early will be one of the main goals, as Uttar Pradesh pushes for a win. Uttar Pradesh left-arm pacer Yash Dayal with the swinging ball will fancy his chances testing the in-form batsman.

The 27-year old all-rounder Akshdeep Nath and in-form Shivam Sharma will once again hold the key for Uttar Pradesh in this crucial encounter.
Mumbai on the other hand have the best batsman in the tournament- Prithvi Shaw. The 21-year old opener who faced a lot of criticism for his poor performance in the latest concluded Test series in Australia, once again showed why he is one of the best at home conditions. Though he has a lot of room for improvement in the seaming tracks.
Shaw has been a brutal force in the subcontinent conditions and he will be hoping he can finish the tournament on a high by winning his team their third title. No changes are expected from the Mumbai side.
