The U-19 World Cup is going on full throttle as the youngsters from every corner of the world are expressing their cricketing skills. Every day we are witnessing some of the others being broken. So today, let's look at the existing records from the U-19 cricket World Cup.

India have won the most U-19 World Cup, winning the tournament four times (1999/00, 2007/08, 2012, 2017/18). Not to forget, India could've had five but they lost the competition last time in the finals to Bangladesh.

Highest Win%

The team that has the most win percentage in the U-19 Cricket World Cup in India again with a win% of 77.64. India have managed 66 wins out of 86, losing 19, while 1 was NR.

Highest Totals

The highest total in the U-19 Cricket World Cup history is 480/6. Any guesses? It is Australia who achieved this total in 2002 against Kenya U-19. 

In the ongoing U19 World Cup, India registered the highest total of the 2022 edition, scoring 405/5 against Uganda U-19. Will we see any other team scoring more in this edition?

Lowest Totals 

The lowest total in the U19 Cricket World Cup history was just 22 runs by the Scotland U19 team. It was in 2004 against Australia. Australia managed to bowl them out in 22.3 overs.

# This season until now, PNG U19 have registered the lowest total, scoring 50 in 22.4 overs vs Pakistan U19. 

Biggest win margins

The record for the biggest win margin stands with Australia who won by 430 runs against Kenya in 2002. In the ongoing edition, it is India who have the highest win margin at the moment, winning against Uganda with a margin of 326 runs.

Most Extras

In the 1998 U19 Cricket World Cup, Denmark registered the record for most extras in an innings, bowling a total of 87 extras against Namibia. 

In the ongoing U19 World Cup, Zimbabwe have bowled the most extra till now, the total being 35 against Afghanistan.

Most Runs

The most runs in the U19 Cricket World Cup is by Eoin Morgan. Yes, Eoin Morgan who is England's limited-overs skipper has 606 runs in 13 matches between 2004 and 2006.

However, he achieved it when representing Ireland. 

Highest Score

The highest individual score in the U19 Cricket World Cup belongs to Hasitha Boyagoda who scored 191 against Kenya in 2018. In this season, Raj Bawa from India scored the highest individual score of the U19 Cricket World Cup 2022 so far, scoring 162* against Uganda.

Another Indian player, Angkrish Raghuvanshi scored 144 in the very same match. Is anyone else beating this score this season?

Highest Average 

The highest average in U19 Cricket World Cups belongs to an Indian again, Sarfaraz Khan who had an average of 70.75 when he represented the U19 category.

He scored 566 runs in 12 matches.

Most 100s/50s

The record for most 100s in U19 WC belongs to two people, one is an Indian again Shikhar Dhawan, while the other is Jack Burnham, both of them having scored 3 tons. Dhawan has a superior strike rate and average but has played a game more than Burnham.

The record for most 50s belongs to Sarfaraz Khan who has scored 7 50s in 12 matches.

Most runs in a single edition

The record for most runs in a single edition is with Shikhar Dhawan, who scored 505 runs in a single edition in 2003/04 despite playing only 7 matches.

Most wickets and Best Bowling Figures in an innings

Wessley Madhevere, the Zimbabwean has 28 wickets in U19 World Cups, the most. He did it in 18 matches between 2016-2020.

The record for the best bowling figures in an innings is held by Lloyd Pope who picked 8 wickets inside 10 overs against England U19 in 2018.

Most wickets in an edition

The record for the most wickets in a single edition belongs to Enamul Haque of Bangladesh in the 2003/04 season when he picked 22 wickets in a single edition of the U19 Cricket World Cup.

He took only 8 matches to achieve this feat.

Highest partnership 

Partnerships are always crucial in building towards a big total and in the U19 Cricket World Cup, it belongs to Jack Burnham and D Lawrence who shared a 303-run stand for England vs Fiji in 2016.
