Former Australia player Dean Jones applauded former India captain MS Dhoni's captaincy – who will now be seen captaining Chennai Super Kings in the 2020 edition of Indian Premier League. Jones said that Dhoni will always be in his list of top five Indian players because of his brilliance throughout the years.

MS Dhoni has announced his retirement from international cricket last month and attended a pre-IPL training camp in Chennai before leaving for Dubai.

"MS Dhoni is captain cool. He doesn't sweat but he hasn't played cricket for 14 months. He has had a camp back in Chennai. He is teaching some of the young guys back in quarantine some discipline because there is a lot of discipline in his game," Dean Jones said in the latest episode of Star Sports' chat show Cricket Connected.

Meanwhile, MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings have already faced a few big blows. While 13 members were tested positive earlier, Suresh Raina and Harbhajan Singh have pulled out their names from the league. In absence of Raina, the pressure will be on the CSK captain MS Dhoni who is gearing up to win their 4th title as well.

"And as a captain, he is quite conservative in his tactics. But he waits for you to make a mistake and then the cobra goes for the squeeze. People will always remember what he has done. He will be in my top five Indian players of all time," Jones shared.

Notably, their key pace bowler Deepak Chahar – who had also tested positive for the COVID-19 earlier, has started his practice after his test report came negative and he is likely to be featured in the first game as well.

Chennai Super Kings will begin their campaign against defending champions Mumbai Indians on the first match of the cash-rich league in Abu Dhabi. The 53-day tournament will conclude on November 10
