This article will focus on the top five records that have been broken so far in IPL 2022.

Every team, bowlers, and batters achieve different milestones in every IPL and etched their name in IPL folklore, and become well-known players. And over the years, we have witnessed many records have been broken with new players delivering on the biggest stage of cricket; as the expectations rise, it becomes pretty hard for them to produce masterclass performances on a consistent basis.

But that's fair in the sports, only a few players can be consistent on the top level, and with this, we look at those new players who have risen through the ranks and made new records.

#1 Pat Cummins equals KL Rahul's fastest Fifty

In the Mumbai Indians vs Kolkata Knight Riders encounter, the KKR blitzkrieg showed his batting artistry as he became the joint-fastest player to slam 50 runs off just 14 balls in IPL history.

Pat Cummins equaled KL Rahul's record for the fastest 5o runs in IPL history against Mumbai Indians. He broke his record, but he also gave Mumbai Indians a run for their money when he hammered 39 runs in 16th overs, making it the third most expensive overs in IPL history, as KKR chased down the target of 164 runs with 24 balls to spare.

#2 Ayush Badoni the new rising talent

Ayush Badoni made his IPL debut in a grand style as he inspired the team to a win against Gujarat Titans. Lucknow Super Giants struggled to cope with Gujarat's bowlers as they lost a couple of wickets.

Ayush's introduction gave the team hope as unperturbed Ayush came to the crease with optimism and joined Deepak Hooda. He introduced himself in a dramatic fashion as he hammered 54 runs off 41 balls, grabbing the eyeballs of many in the stadium, and also stitched an 87 runs partnership with Hooda giving the team much-needed momentum.

By doing this, Ayush Badoni registered his name on the elite list of players who have scored 50 in their IPL debut.

#3 KL Rahul scores 28th IPL fifty

LSG and SRH came head-to-head in yesterday's game, with LSG winning the match. LSG posted a decent target of 168. KL Rahul and Deepak Hooda played a valiant part in helping LSG notch up satisfactory results.

By doing so, KL Rahul added another record in his record books, becoming only the sixth Indian after Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Suresh Raina, Ajinkya Rahane, and Shikhar Dhawan to reach the landmark of scoring 50 and plus on 30 occasions, and it was his first fifty in the IPL 2022; Rahul also reached 3,381 runs in the IPL at 46.95.

#4 Rahul Tewatia hits 2 sixes off 2 balls

Tewatia cruised off Gujarat to a humbling six-wicket victory over Punjab Kings in a smash and grab the match. This was Gujarat's third straight win in IPL 2022. Although Punjab thought they had the game in their hand their speedster Odean Smith had overthrown off the fourth ball in the final over, leaving Gujarat needing 12 runs off 2 balls.

And Tewatia was on strike with pressure mounting on him, but the batsman calmly slotted the ball twice over the fence and conquered the match on a whim; he is also only the third player after Dhoni and Jadeja to smash consecutive sixes off the last 2 deliveries to win a match.

Dewald, the 19-year-old batsman, became the youngest South African player to make his IPL debut when he came up against Kolkata Knight Riders. Although Mumbai lost, all eyes were on Brewis as he took on the crease. He holds an excellent record in the under-19 World Cup; he has racked up 506 runs in just six games. The 19-year-old is a prolific batsman and can be a hero for Mumbai, who are yet to taste their first IPL victory. Because of staggering shots and a similar stance to former South African legend Ab de Villiers, the youngster is nicknamed baby ABD by the cricketing fraternity.
