Delhi Capital’s veteran bowler Amit Mishra and Sunrisers Hyderabad’s strike bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar are set to miss the remainder of the IPL after being injured. The DC spinner sustained a tendon injury during the game against Kolkata Knight Riders which was played on Saturday.

However, for the Hyderabad pacer, the reason is a hip injury that he suffered in their game against Chennai Super Kings, as per reports by ANI. A source in the team said, “Bhuvneshwar will not be able to take further part in the IPL 2020 as he has been ruled out with a hip injury. A big blow for sure as he is someone who leads the bowling unit and is also an integral part of the leadership on the ground.”

Both the bowlers were having a great IPL but their respective injuries have now spilled over their hopes of achieving glory with the ball this season. Delhi Capitals are set to face Royal Challengers Bangalore on Monday and DC would want to replace Mishra with someone who doesn’t dismantle the team’s rhythm.

The team can go with Sandeep Lamichhane, a proper Amit Mishra replacement. However, it is said that Axar Patel is set to replace the aged spinner. Axar Patel was very unfortunate t be dropped from the side as he has the best economy in IPL 2020 currently but was dropped to establish a stronger, wicket-taking bowling attack.

After SRH’s loss against Mumbai Indians, they surely know that Bhuvneshwar’s will be a key miss as it makes room for extra runs in both the opening few overs and also towards the death. Sunrisers had gained slight momentum after their recent win against CSK but losing Bhuvneshwar in the second-last over the game came as a big blow to the side.

SRH are already struggling to perform in this edition of IPL and it will be interesting to see if they could find an alternative, an effective one to replace Bhuvaneshwar Kumar.
