After 56 scintillating matches, we have finally found our four teams for the IPL playoffs – Mumbai Indians, Delhi Capitals, Sunrisers Hyderabad, and Royal Challengers Bangalore.

In the first qualifier, Mumbai Indians are all set to lock horns with Delhi Capitals at the Dubai International Stadium on November 5th, 2020. MI are on a mission to retain the IPL trophy while DC wants to win the tournament for the first time in the franchise’s history.

The last time these two teams faced each other, Mumbai thrashed Delhi as they restricted them at 110 runs and won the game by nine wickets in the 15th over at the same stadium.

In the last game, however, DC comfortably clinched their game against RCB to finish in second place while Mumbai Indians were humiliated as SRH won the match by 10 wickets against them to book their place in the IPL playoffs for the fifth consecutive time.

The two teams have a solid bowling attack and there will be a lot of pressure on the bowlers. Mumbai Indians are looking much better with the arrival of Rohit Sharma, who missed four games due to a hamstring injury. Delhi, on the other hand, would like their batsman to take responsibility for scoring good runs, just like they did against RCB in the last game.

Nonetheless, this fixture is expected to be a cracker as the two sides wouldn’t like to miss the opportunity of reaching the final in their first attempt

Weather Report

The conditions are expected to be ideal for cricket with no chance of rain whatsoever. The temperatures are expected to hover in the range of 24-31 degree range while the humidity at the peak is expected to reach the 54 percent mark.

Pitch

In the last game, Kolkata Knight Riders scored 191 runs in the first innings, however, the pitch was supporting pacers in the powerplay. The team batting first has to score above 180 runs to stay in the match. Anything below that will be chaseable and it will require something special from bowlers to defend score on this wicket.

Team News

Delhi Capitals played three overseas pacers in the last match against RCB and were looking quite stable with Ajinkya Rahane. So, we are expecting that Delhi will play with the same line-up as they need to be stable against the solid Mumbai line-up.

Mumbai Indians, on the other hand, rested Jasprit Bumrah, Trent Boult, and Hardik Pandya in the last game against Sunrisers Hyderabad, however, all of them will be returning to the line-up. The return of Rohit Sharma in the squad was a huge boost and he is expected to play in the first qualifier against DC. Saurabh Tiwary, Dhawal Kulkarni, and Nathan Coulter-Nile will be rested in this match.
