The IPL 2020 schedule is expected to be announced tomorrow and it is believed that the two most successful IPL franchises Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings will face each other in the opening game of the Dream 11 IPL 2020. BCCI president Sourav Ganguly recently announced that the preparations for the tournament are full-fledged.

The four-time champions Mumbai Indians are rumored to be facing the three-time champions Chennai Super Kings on September 19 in Dubai. However, the coronavirus situation in the CSK camp aggravated the chances of they becoming a part of the opening game. CSK’s preparations were disarrayed, leaving MSD’s team being the last team to prepare for the tournament.

CSK have also had a significant delay in their practice sessions and thus questions arise if CSK will be fully ready to play Mumbai Indians in their opening game. Reports have also emerged that travel between Abu Dhabi and Dubai is also inhibited as a result of dissimilarity in quarantine rules in both cities.

For CSK, it is great that all the players have tested negative in their second COVID test and will be on the pitch, training from today onwards. ON the other hand, Mumbai Indians have been excellent in their practice schedule and their preparation is well on course.

It is also being reported that if not CSK, Virat Kohli’s Royal Challengers Bangalore will be taking on the previous edition’s champions. IPL 2020 will get a spectacular boost with Rohit Sharma locking horns with Virat Kohli or Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Either way, the game will be breaking the trp charts as people have been waiting for so long for the IPL to commence.

The plan is to play the teams based in Dubai to dominate the first week of games as six out of the eight sides are based in Dubai.
