The 9th match of the Road Safety World Series is set to feature the table-toppers India Legends and Kevin Pietersen-led England Legends, at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium in Raipur, this Tuesday.

The hosts find themselves reigning at the top of the table with three wins and yet are to taste defeat. They continued their winning run after the resumption of the tournament by thrashing the Bangladesh Legends by 10 wickets and they are now just one win away from cementing their place in the play-offs.

The English side who played their first match of the tournament against Bangladesh Legends, last Sunday, also came out victorious. Their skipper- Kevin Pietersen played a brilliant knock of 42 of just 17 balls to guide the Englishmen to commanding 7 wickets win. With the win, they are now placed third on the ladder and a win against the Indian side would see them get closer to the Sri Lanka Legends.

The tournament which features legends from all over the world has been providing the fans with some great memories and instances which bring nostalgic feelings in the profound followers of the sport. This match does promise to be a rip-roaring contest as both teams possess a star-studded line-up.

Can the duo of Sachin Tendulkar and Sehwag once again get the better of the opponent? Or will the Englishmen make the Indians taste their first defeat of the tournament?

Weather Report

The conditions are forecasted to be ideal for the sport as clear skies are expected and no chance of rain whatsoever. The temperature is expected to be hovering in the 32-28 degree Celsius range and the humidity at the peak is likely to reach the 24 percent mark.

Pitch

Once again we saw the chasing team make easy work of the target. The Lankan legends managed to chase down the target with 9 wickets in hand. The pitch has been a very competitive one as both the batsmen and bowlers seem to be getting good assistance. The team winning the toss should be looking to bowl first, keeping in mind the success of the chasing teams and also the dew factor which could come into play.

Team News

The Indian legends would be more than happy to feature the same Xl that featured against the Bangladesh Legends. The Indian side undoubtedly has the opening pair in the tournament and the opposition would once again have a huge task cut out in dismissing them.

The English side too showed great form against the Bangladesh side and their key bowlers- Monty Panesar and James Tredwell will hold the key in containing the Indian batsmen. The opening pair of Wicket-keeper batsman Phil Mustard and skipper Kevin Pietersen showed great resistance in the last match and once again it will be up to to the top three if they are to register back-to-back wins.
