The second semi-final of the ninth edition of the Caribbean Premier League is set to be played between Guyana Amazon Warriors and St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots on Wednesday, September 15. The Warriors will want to get back into action at the earliest after they produced a fantastic spectacle in their last game against Jamaica Tallawahs.

The Warriors were 75/7 in 11.2 overs but a phenomenal unbeaten knock from Romario Shepherd averted their ship from sinking as they managed to put 142 on the board.

Seeing this, the bowlers bowled fearlessly and restricted the Tallawahs to only 128, with Shepherd turning the fate of the game again with the bowl, picking three wickets alongside Odean Smith's three. St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots were exceptional in the first half of the tournament, winning five out of five but fate turned tables as they managed just one win from the next five. Their early start saved them as they finished third despite losing their last game against Trinbago Knight Riders.

Will the five-time runners-up Warriors side inch a step closer to the trophy? Or will the Patriots get back to their best on the occasion?

Match Start Time: 14:30 Local (12:00 IST)

Match Venue: Warner Park, Basseterre, St Kitts.

Weather Conditions

The ground is expected to be covered with dark clouds and it is not the most cricket-friendly day. There will be chances of rain throughout the game and the temperature is expected to be around 29 to 33 degrees Celsius.

Pitch Report

Despite the contrasting weather conditions, the pitch has held and supported the flow of runs on it throughout. Teams batting first have scored over 150 consistently and the same is expected in this game too. The team that bats second will have to execute things better and things may get tense if they have an excess of 170 or more to chase.

Team News

The skipper will have to perform better and not let his side down as he did in the last game for the Warriors. The openers will have to provide a good start to the team too. Imran Tahir will also be crucial for his side.

Both teams have fit squads and they won't be making many changes to their squad.

# With 13 wickets, DC Drakes is the only St Kitts & Nevis Patriots player who finds a place in the top 10 wicket-takers list.
