After almost 50 days of intense T20 action, one of the most followed global T20 league- Big Bash League 2020 is coming to a close. With two more matches left to decide the winners of this season. Perth Scorchers will lock horns with Brisbane Heat in the challenger, this Thursday.

The winner of this virtual semi-final will face the Sydney Sixers in the Grand Finale. Sixers became the first team to qualify for the Finale after defeating the Scorchers by a comfortable 9-wicket margin.

Heat on the other side are having a dream run. The team led by Chris Lynn had a shaky solid start to the season but lost their way in the middle after missing out on their skipper for close to four matches due to a hamstring injury. But they made a strong comeback towards the end of the group stages to sneak their way into the play-offs.

Scorchers will come into the important match on the back of a huge defeat that was handed over by the Sixers. The Heat on the other side are on a 4-match winning streak and managed to knock out both the Strikers and Thunder, who were in great touch until then.

Can the Heat continue their winning run and get a step closer to claiming their second BBL title? Or will it be Ashton Turner and Co. who schedule a rematch with the Sixers?

Weather Report

The conditions possess no issues for the all-important clash. It is expected to be cloudy and overcast during the first half of the game. The temperature is forecasted to be hovering around 25-21 degrees Celsius and the humidity at the peak is likely to touch the 52 percent mark.

Pitch

As we saw in the last two games the pitch is a decent strip for batting. The bowlers too have been receiving some assistance from the pitch early in the innings. Once again a match of an aggregate of 320-330 looks likely. The team batting first should be looking to chase down keeping in the mind the high success rate of chasing teams at this venue.

Team News

A rare off day for the Scorchers against the Sixers. But that will not put the Scorchers in a spot of bother as they have a very strong unit and are well balanced. The top-order has been doing a good job for the team. The skipper Ashton Turner has not been able to make a significant contribution to the team and he will be hoping he can in this decisive encounter.

Heat on the other side are on a roll and any changes to their line-up unless a forced one would be a crime. Sam Heazlett who came in as a replacement of Max Bryant played an exceptional inning of 74 of 49 ensuring he took his team over the line against the in-form Thunder. With Joe Denly struggling at the top he is likely to be pushed down the order and Heazlett could accompany their skipper at the top.
