With the test match between the Aussies and India level-headed, the teams have been fighting hard to retain the prestigious Border-Gavaskar Trophy. With the action taking place in the Gabba, we have a thriller of a match in the BBL 2020 scheduled to take place between Thunder and Hurricanes at the Manuka Oval, this Monday.

The 43rd match of the Big Bash League 2020 will also be a deciding match for the Hurricanes, who after losing their last three matches find themselves languishing at the bottom of the table with 19 points doing only better than the Renegades. They will be hoping they can hammer the Thunders, which could see them leap to the third position in the table.

The teams have been so tightly placed this season that a win or loss for the team creates huge chaos in the table. The Thunders have a bit more room as they have 23 points and even a loss here would not affect their position in the table.

The previous meeting between the two sides went in favor of the Thunder. Hurricanes after winning the toss decided to chase down the score. Callum Ferguson and Co. managed to notch up 167 runs on the board and in reply the Hurricanes could only manage 128 on the board.

Both the teams will come into this match on the back of a losing streak. Thunder have been on the receiving end in their last two outings. While the Hurricanes have had a hattrick of losses.

Who do you think can break the shackles and end their losing streak?

Match Toss Time: 18:45 Local (13:15 IST)

Match Start Time: 19:15 Local (13:45 IST)

Match Venue: Manuka Oval, Canberra

Weather Report

The conditions are ideal for cricket and the moderate temperature adds to the ambiance of the game. The temperature is expected to be hovering in the 21-16 degree Celsius and the humidity at the peak is expected to be around the 71 percent mark.

Pitch

The pitch has been an absolute belter and once again a high-scoring match is on the cards. The pitch does have any assistance for the bowlers and they would have to depend on the mishits. The team winning the toss should be looking to chase down as the records in this venue suggest the chasing team doing better.

Team News

Chris Green who was replaced by Jonathan Cook, went for 23 runs in his first over and the spinner is likely to be replaced by Green for this encounter. Callum Ferguson and Co. are now on a two-match losing streak and they are certain to feature their strongest Xl for this all-important encounter.

Hurricanes on the other side from the top four have had a drastic drop and are now in an almost must-win situation. They were thrashed by the Perth Scorchers in their last game by 9 wickets and they would be hoping their bowling unit step it up this time around. Their ace batsman to be- Dawid Malan has also not been able to contribute yet and a lot will depend on the English now.
