With some intriguing performances and exciting match-ups, the Big Bash League 2020 has taken the spotlight and it continues to offer the spectators non-stop action. The 35th match of the BBL 2020 will feature the Sydney Sixers and Brisbane Heat at the Carrara Oval in Queensland, this Sunday.

Sixers have been an excellent season so far, having won 5 matches out of 8 and find themselves in a commendable 2nd position. The Sixers are just 1 point behind the table toppers- Sydney Thunders and win here could see them leap to the top of the table. Heat on the other side after a losing streak have begun their resurgence and they would be looking to better their 5th position.

The previous encounter between the two sides was held at the Gabba in Brisbane and saw the Heat come on top at their homeground. The Sixers after winning the toss elected to bat first and managed to score 165 runs on the board. The Heat in reply had a shaky start after losing Burns for 1 but clinical knocks by Max Bryant and Lewis Gregory ensured the Heat came on top by 4 wickets.

Can Chris Lynn and Co. make it three wins in a row? Or will it be the Sixers who get to the top of the table?

Match Start Time: 18:15 Local (13:45 IST)

Match Venue: Carrara Oval, Queensland

Weather Report

The conditions are not ideal for cricket as rainfalls are expected at regular intervals and for that reason we could once again have a curtailed encounter. The temperature is expected to be hovering in the 25-20 degree Celsius and the humidity at the peak is likely to touch the 64 percent mark.

Pitch

Despite heavy rainfall in Carrara, the last match between the Heat and Stars was a high-scoring match. The match was reduced to 10 overs a side due to the rain and we saw a match aggregate close to 230 runs. The same can be expected for this encounter as well. The team winning the toss should be looking to bat first keeping the conditions in mind.

Team News

Sixers had a rare downfall in the match against Scorchers. The panic button is too early to be used considering the number of matches they have managed to win already. Ben Dwrashius was withdrawn in the last minute owing to a niggle and they will be hoping he can make it back to the team for this encounter. His return is likely to keep Jake Ball out of the line-up.

Heat have been showing great character in the last few games and have made a great comeback to the tournament. The skipper who was out with an injury for a few games looks to be back in full flow as he has already shown his class with the bat and leadership. Heat looks to be missing an experienced death bowler and for that reason they are likely to replace Xavier Bartlett with Ben Laughlin.
