The Aurora Stadium in Launceston is all set to host their 1st match of the Big Bash League 2020 (BBL 2020). The 8th match of the BBL 2020 will feature second-placed Hobart Hurricanes and Adelaide Strikers, who are yet to open their account this season.

Hurricanes look in great touch and win here could see them on the top of the table. Both the teams have already met each other in this season on Sunday and the Strikers would be feeling unfortunate as they almost pulled off an amazing chase, but fell short by 11 runs eventually.

The Strikers after winning the toss elected to bowl first. Hurricanes with the help of their Skipper- D’Arcy Short notched a total of 174. In return, the Strikers were clueless, to begin with as they lost a heap of wickets but the tail-enders Daniel Worrall and Danny Briggs had different plans. The pair went on to score 61 runs, recording the highest 10th wicket partnership in BBL. But a brilliant last over by Nathan Ellis ensured the Hurricanes stay unbeaten in the BBL.

Adelaide Strikers have the much-deserved rematch in less than two days and they would be looking to turn the fortunes in their favor this time around. The Strikers would have definitely learned from their mistakes and this does promise to be an exciting match between the two.

Can the Hurricanes make it three in a row and climb their way to the top of the table? Or will the Strikers seek redemption?

Weather Report

The conditions are ideal for cricket as clear skies are expected throughout the day with occasional clouding. The temperature is expected to be hovering in the 18-23 degrees Celsius range and the humidity at the peak is anticipated to touch the 59 percent mark.

Pitch

The pitch is all about batsmen once again. An ideal strip for the batsmen to play their shots and we can expect yet another high-scoring game when these two meet. Said that the pacers are likely to find some movement early in the innings but not much that can stop the batsmen from putting up a huge total.

Team News

Hobart Hurricanes will be more than happy to feature the same playing Xl that played against the same opposition on Friday and emerged victoriously. The team seems to be well balanced and the skipper seems to be doing a wonderful job behind the stumps.

Adelaide Strikers on the other hand had a decent game against the Hurricanes. But, the batting order completely failed. It is too early to take a call on the form of the players on basis of a sole match and Strikers are likely to stick with the same line-up.
