The series is sealed in the favor of the Aussies after they managed to outplay the Indians in both ODIs played at the SCG. The Aussies now lead 2-0 and this dead rubber will be held at the Manuka Oval in Canberra. The Baggy Greens will be looking for a whitewash which will leave the Indians in an embarrassing situation and will also give the Aussies the required winning momentum going into the 3-match T20I series.

The Men in Blue on the other side would look to somehow get past the Aussies in this encounter and finish the series 2-1 and restore some pride. Both the matches played so far saw the Aussies bat first and register humongous totals of 374 and 389 respectively. The Indians did give a fight but fell short in both the matches as they kept losing wickets at regular intervals.

Team India will be feeling relieved with the absence of David Warner as the opener gave the Indians a tough time on the field with his destructive batting. The Indians fell short by 66 runs and 51 runs in the 1st and 2nd ODI respectively and that does show that the batting has clicked well but the bowling has been a huge concern. This match does give them the liberty to try out different options.

Can the Aussies make it three in a row and register a dominating whitewash over the Men in the Blue? Will the Indians bounce back and attain the winning momentum going into the T20I series?

Weather Report

The conditions seem to be well in favor of cricket, with clear skies expected throughout with an exception of clouding during the late noon, nothing threatening to interrupt the game. The temperature is expected to hover in the 23-17 degree range and get cooler in the evening. Humidity is also on the lower side, around the 39-35 percent range.

Pitch

The pitch in Canberra is known to be a belter and the batsmen can expect to have a wonderful time as the ball comes onto the bat very well. The average score batting first in Manuka has been 310 and that means we are sure to have a high-scoring game once again. The team winning the toss should be looking to bat first as the team batting first has won 7 out of the total 9 games played here.

Team News

Team Australia has been dealt a huge blow as their key batsman David Warner has been ruled out of the final ODI and the T20I series due to a groin injury. The 34-year old was seen limping off the field after he suffered the injury while fielding and the extent of the injury is yet to be reported by the management. His injury would mean that D’Arcy Short is likely to make his return to the Australian line-up.

This comes as the second blow for Australia as they were already without the services of all-rounder Marcus Stoinins who suffered an injury in the 1st ODI.

The Men in Blue on the other hand have not reported any injuries but have few issues with the form of the players. With Navdeep Saini not able to deliver the goods, it looks likely that India would try out the yorker specialist T. Natarajan, also keeping in mind the upcoming T20I series that starts on Friday.
