IPL 2020 has been delayed, but there’s hope that it will start if the coronavirus pandemic is under control. There have been few players who have played for many franchises and even won IPL crowns with different teams.
Cricwizz takes a look at five players who have played for most franchises in IPL history.

Aaron Finch (7, set to play for 8th team)
The Australian limited-overs captain has played for as many as 7 franchises, the most by any player in the history of IPL. And he is set to play for his eighth franchise when he comes out to play for RCB in IPL 2020.
From 2010 to 2018, he has played for Delhi Daredevils, Gujarat Lions, Kings XI Punjab, Mumbai Indians, Pune Warriors, Rajasthan Royals and Sunrisers Hyderabad. He has scored 1737 runs @ 26.31 in 75 IPL matches.
Parthiv Patel (6)
The RCB keeper-batsman is playing for his 6th franchise in IPL. He was earlier part of Mumbai Indians-winning squad that won the IPL 2017 title. He ran out the last RPS batsman to win the title for Mumbai by a run.
He has also played for Chennai Super Kings, Deccan Chargers, Kochi Tuskers Kerala, Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Dinesh Karthik (6)
The KKR skipper played for five franchises before finally settling at the Kolkata club. Although he’s yet to lead his team to IPL crown, he has the confidence of the team management and the owner. He has earlier played for Delhi Daredevils, Gujarat Lions, Kings XI Punjab, Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore.
Manish Pandey (5)
Manish Pandey is playing for his fifth franchise in Sunrisers Hyderabad. He is the first Indian player to crack a ton in IPL when he was part of RCB. He was part of the winning squad in 2017 campaign for SRH. He also played for Kolkata Knight Riders, Mumbai Indians and Pune Warriors. He has scored 2843 runs @ 29.30 in 130 IPL matches.
Jaydev Unadkat (5)
He had the best IPL season for Rising Pune Supergiant in 2017, but ended up on the losing note. He was bought at a record price in subsequent auctions. But he has not lived up to expectations so far. He has taken 77 wickets in 73 games in IPL. He will play for Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2020. He has also played for Delhi Daredevils, Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Bangalore.
