India U19 team is all set to feature in their third straight U19 World Cup final when they meet Bangladesh on Sunday. The most successful team in the history of the tournament, Team India is on a winning spree in their last eleven games in the tournament history.
India’s last defeat in any U19 World Cup match came against West Indies in the final in 2016. Ever since they haven’t lost any World Cup match.
Even in this edition so far, the Boys in Blue are undefeated. They were too good for their opponents in the league stage, and even managed to beat Australia in the quarters, before annihilating Pakistan in the Semis.
While India will enter the contest as favorites, they will be wary of what their opponents and the threats that they might pose in the final. Bangladesh, who will play their maiden U19 World Cup Final on Sunday, have been outstanding in going past some of the teams who were touted as favorites ahead of the tournament.
As Priyam Garg and his boys prepare for the title clash against Bangladesh, members from the senior team send their wishes to wish the junior team all the luck before the all-important encounter.
Team India members including the likes of Cheteshwar Pujara, Ajinkya Rahane, Vijay Shankar, and Wriddhiman Saha congratulated the boys for reaching the finals. They even wished for their success in the final and hope to see the Boys in Blue bring the Cup back home.
