The second half has been rather intriguing as all the bottom half teams showcased their fighting spirit and have caused upset to the top tier teams.
Fielding in this tournament has been at its very best and teams have displayed how fielding can win you matches as well.
Every fielding unit in this WC has shown their efficiency, and athleticism has been at its very best
Here are few of the best fielders that have turned out to be ‘ Saviours’ for their side:
5. Isuru Udana

The Lankan has saved about 25 runs on the field, along with a few catches and couple of run outs.
When the team was losing all hope because of lack of runs on board, it was Udana who saved a few crucial runs to give the Lankans some hope.
4. Martin Guptill
The leading run scorer of the 2015 WC has been having a rather upsetting run in this season. With just 1 50+ score in this tournament, the right hander has left his form back home in this season.
However, the Kiwi has been his same electric self on field. With crucial run outs, catches and over 29 runs saved on field, Guptill has been one of the stand out fielders in this tournament.
This right-hander has shown runs can be accumulated not just with the bat but while fielding as well.

Maxy is regarded as one of the best fielders of this generation.
The Victoria born has always impressed everyone with and his athleticism and electric fielding.
This tournament has been no different for Maxwell as he has saved about 31 runs so far, along with a few breathtaking catches.
Glenn has been one of those players who can win you games just on the basis of his fielding.
The right hander has failed with the bat and is having a nightmare of a run in this tournament; but its his fielding which is helping him linger around in the side.

1. India’s super-sub and 12th man; Ravindra Jadeja
The former No.1 bowler in ODI and Test cricket has been struggling to find a place in the playing XI, in this tournament. That being said, nothing can keep Jadeja off field.
‘Sir’Jadeja is currently being used by the Indian side as a fielder. The left hander from Saurashtra is regarded as the best fielder in the World at present by many and Jaddu has been rightly living up to this tag.
His athleticism at present is un-parred with. Along with saving ample runs for his side, Jadeja has also taken important catches. He is the player that lives up to the tag of ‘Catches win Matches’.
The factor that sets Jadeja sets aside as a fielder is his ability to convert half chances to a wicket.
