The twelfth edition of the Indian Premier League is into the last lap, and in Match number 59 we will witness three-time champions and holders Chennai Super Kings locking horns with the Delhi Capitals at the YS Rajasekhara Reddy Stadium in Visakhapatnam.
CSK made a fairytale start to the glitzy tournament by winning most of their matches, and finished second in the standings.
They had a disappointing outing against the Mumbai Indians in the Qualifier 1, due to which they have to take a longer route to reach the final.
Led by MS Dhoni, the Men in Yellow possess a brilliant squad that has truckloads of experience. They have a habit of winning and winning handsome, and have been traditional powerhouses on the leaderboard, as was the case this season too.
On the other hand, Delhi Capitals have seen almost a total overhaul, which has resulted in a change of kit and franchise name, but their fortunes have reversed as well.
DC finished third in the table and overcame a resurgent Sunrisers Hyderabad outfit in the Eliminator at Visakhapatnam, and the fact that they are playing back-to-back matches at the same venue plays into their hands.
They possess a young squad, led by Shreyas Iyer, that does not have a lot of experience, and this has not hampered their performances at all till now.
The Capitals roped in Ricky Ponting as the coach and Sourav Ganguly as their advisor, and the legendary duo has been motivating the talented DC team.
