Imran Tahir vs Shikhar Dhawan
The South African spinner Imran Tahir has been a vital cog in the CSK bowling unit. The right-arm leggie is adept at testing batsmen on all surfaces, and is a proven wicket-taker.
From 50 IPL matches, the wily customer has managed to prise out 70 wickets at an exceptional strike rate of 15.94. His economy rate is 7.95 and slightly on the higher side, but that is down to him being a wrist spinner.
Shikhar Dhawan has been the Indian team’s opener for many years now, and the Delhi southpaw is a fearless and enterprising cricketer with a vast array of attacking shots.
His ability to attack from the word go, makes him a very crucial player and a tough competitor. Dhawan was bought by the Delhi side from Sunrisers Hyderabad, and him having been able to replicate his performances, the Capitals has benefitted hugely.
He has 4508 runs from 155 matches, with a batting average of 33.64 and a healthy strike rate of 124.74 in the Indian Premier League.
