The twelfth edition of the Indian Premier League is under way, and in the Match no. 41 we will witness three-time champions Chennai Super Kings battling against the Sunrisers Hyderabad at the M A Chidambaram Stadium.
CSK have made a fairytale start to the glitzy tournament by winning all but three of their ten matches, and lost out in a nail-biter to the Royal Challengers Bangalore in their last match.
Led by MS Dhoni, the Men in Yellow possess a brilliant squad that has truckloads of experience. They have a habit of winning and winning handsome, and have been traditional powerhouses on the leaderboard, as is the case this season too.
The Hyderabad side, led by Kiwi batsman Kane Williamson, is one that has dished out consistent performances in the IPL with a winner’s trophy to their credit.
They possess a potent blend of foreign and Indian talent, that has proven itself time and again. They too, have been very effective so far in this edition, winning five out of the nine matches so far.

His ability to attack from the word go, makes him a very crucial player for Chennai and a tough competitor. Raina is the leading run-getter in IPL history, with as many as 5192 runs from 186 matches, with a batting average of 33.71 at a healthy strike rate of 137.43.

The Afghan bowler holds the key against the hard-hitters of CSK.

The South African spinner Imran Tahir has been a vital cog in the CSK bowling unit. The right-arm leggie is adept at testing batsmen on all surfaces, and is a proven wicket-taker.
From 48 IPL matches, the wily customer has managed to prise out 69 wickets at an exceptional strike rate of 15.48. His economy rate is 7.89 and slightly on the higher side, but that is down to him being a wrist spinner.
David Warner has returned to the IPL post his ban, and has taken the tournament by storm. The Aussie opener has the Orange Cap in his possession and will be one of the wickets that Dhoni and his men would target initially.
Warner has 4531 IPL career runs under his belt, and has an overall average of 42.75 in 123 matches and a strike rate of 142.84.
