The twelfth edition of the Indian Premier League is under way, and in Match number 35, we will get to see two-time champions Kolkata Knight Riders taking on the Royal Challengers Bangalore at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
The KKR side, led by Dinesh Karthik, is one that has dished out consistent performances in the IPL with two winner’s trophies to their credit. They possess a potent blend of foreign and Indian talent, that has proven itself time and again.
On the other hand, the Royal Challengers Bangalore have been perennial underachievers in the IPL, even though they boast of a squad with giant superstars.
But, with inexperienced local T20 specialists in their squad, Virat Kohli’s RCB simply do not have the mileage to go all the way this time around.
Kolkata Knight Riders (Probable XI): Chris Lynn, Sunil Narine, Robin Uthappa, Nitish Rana, Dinesh Karthik (C) (WK), Shubman Gill, Andre Russell, Piyush Chawla, Kuldeep Yadav, Prasidh Krishna, Harry Gurney.

Andre Russell vs Yuzvendra Chahal
Andre Russell has been the man to watch out for in this season’s IPL owing to his insane attacking prowess. His superhuman abilities came to the fore when he scripted an unlikely victory for KKR when they last met RCB.
The Jamaican all-rounder has scored 1202 IPL runs in 58 matches at an average of 32.49. He has a mind-boggling strike rate of 185.49 too.
Yuzvendra Chahal is arguably one of the best spinners in the international circuit, and possesses many bowling varieties.
The wrist-spinner from Haryana is extremely wily and induces false attacking shots from the opposition batsmen often, due to which he is a potent force to reckon with.
He has a proven track record of being a wicket-taker for RCB too. Chahal finds himself in the list of top wicket-takers in this season’s IPL, and is their trump card.
Kuldeep Yadav vs AB de Villiers
Kuldeep Yadav is Team India’s go-to spinner for wickets, even though the Chinaman has not had the most successful tournament this time around.
Yadav has enjoyed only a paltry return, to say the least. Still, the array of varieties that he could produce makes him a tricky bowler to play against. The Uttar Pradesh man has also maintained an impressive economy rate in T20s.
AB de Villers has been a rock-solid presence in the RCB, and has stitched many scintillating partnerships with Virat Kohli. The ex-Proteas legend has more than 4000 runs in IPL matches.
He has been in a rich vein of form so far, but RCB has been dismal as a team, due to which many of those knocks were rendered futile. He could prove to be a major headache for KKR tonight, if he starts to get going.
Taking into consideration the chemistry of the KKR, coupled with their scintillating individual potential, Team CricWizz predicts that the Kolkata Knight Riders would comfortably win its match against the Royal Challengers Bangalore.
But Bangalore have absolutely nothing to lose, going forward, and they could be unpredictable.
