After being thrashed by India in the Asia Cup 2018, Pakistan are set to face another big challenge in their own den UAE. This time its Australia, who will play 2 Tests and 3 T20Is against Pakistan in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. The first Test will be played in Dubai on October 7. Here’s the prediction for the all-important encounter:
Good last 2 series – Pakistan had a good last 2 Test series, one of which was against England in England. They managed to draw the series by winning a game at the iconic Lord’s. Now as they are playing in UAE, a slight advantage of home conditions would be there.
Much more balanced side – Though they have dropped Mohammad Amir from their squad, pacers include Wahab Riaz and Hasan Ali can do the damage against Australia. The selectors have also included Mohammad Hafeez in the side which is a big advantage for the team.
Under-pressure skipper – Sarfraz Ahmed will be under an immense pressure of winning the series after the cricketing fraternity questions him over his poor captaincy in Asia Cup. He needs to take things lightly and identify the Australians’ weaknesses.

The Return of Mitchell Starc – Expect more pace, swing and yorkers as one of the finest fast bowlers is making a comeback into the national team after injury. Mitchell Starc, who was out of action for quite some time now, will be looking to make an emphatic comeback against Pakistan.
Quality spinners – Ashton Agar and Nathan Lyon are the backbone of this side as the pitches in UAE will be more spin-friendly. The duo would like to create an impact with their off-spin deliveries against the Asian giants.
Absence of Smith and Warner – Both these Australian stars are out of action from March 2018 still, their absence would be felt especially when it comes to spin-friendly pitches. Had they both been in the side, the story could have been different.
Cricwizz Prediction – Australian bowling attack is a lot better than Pakistan. Kangaroos are having a slight edge here.
