South Africa might have had a good outing so far against Zimbabwe but their batting is still a major concern. The Boys in Red managed to keep their willows silent in both the ODIs but their batting has been terrible. Though they have already lost the series, it’s a great chance for them to end the ODI series on a good note. Here’s the prediction for the 3rd ODI:
Steyn back in form – At one point of time, we observed that Dale Steyn’s ODI career is over but the speedster not only performed with the ball but showed his class with the bat too. He took 2 wickets in the 2nd ODI and even scored 60 while batting. His form is a big plus for the team.
Imran Tahir spinning all the way – Leggie Imran Tahir picked up 6 wickets in the previous ODI that crushed Zimbabwean batting line-up. He made his comeback in this series and making it count in every way. Recently, he said that he’s ready to retire from cricket if South Africa win the World Cup next year.
Batting! Batting! Batting! – Seems like South Africans are missing their original skipper Faf Du Plessis and perfectionist Hashim Amla very much. They have not been able to score big so far in the series against a small team. The Proteas need to fire in the 3rd ODI to make sure that they can play well even without their best players.
Accuracy in bowling – Zimbabweans have impressed so far with their bowling. They bowled out South Africa once in the series and put the hosts under pressure in the other ODI as well. They have lost both the games due to their batting issues. Couple of veterans are unable to score runs that is keeping them away from victory.
Same problems as of hosts – Zimbabwe have been terrible with the bat so far. They couldn’t even cross 120 once in the series. They have to make sure that their batting should up to the mark or else another whitewash is on the cards.
