Asia Cup 2018 gave us some of the most memorable moments that can be cherished forever. After all the efforts put by the six teams, we are finally left with India and Bangladesh, who are set to play the final of this year’s Asia Cup at the iconic Dubai International Cricket Stadium. Here’s the prediction:
Openers on a roll – Both Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma produced some of the brilliant knocks in this Asia Cup. After not playing the last ODI against Afghanistan, the duo will make a comeback into the side to put India once against in the driver’s seat. Gabbar and Hitman would be key for India in the mega finale against Bangladesh.
Premium pace-attack – Deepak Chahar and Siddarth Kaul would most probably sit out to make way for Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Jasprit Bumrah. Khaleel Ahmed, who impressed with his left-arm bowling, might also sit out in this crucial final.
MS Dhoni’s form with the bat – MS Dhoni is the first choice keeper for India for the World Cup 2019. His batting on the international circuit hasn’t been quite well from the last one year. In the ongoing tournament, the veteran couldn’t do justice with his willow. He has to fire in this match to gain back his lost form. This would be the perfect chance for Dhoni to shut his critics
Little Master Rahim – Bangladesh are putting a lot of efforts to post a big total on the board but in the end, they could manage to score around 250-260, thanks to Rahim’s constant show for his team. The little man from Bangladesh has already scored a century and a fantastic 99 in the tournament and would look to score big in the final as well. If he gets some support from his teammates then the Tigers can achieve 300 as well.
Improvement in pace bowling – Bangladeshi’s couldn’t find the suitable pace-attack in the beginning but now they are set with one of their best pace-attacks in the form of Mustafizur Rahman, Masrafe Mortaza and Rubel Hossain. The trio has impressed with their bowling so far especially Mustafizur Rahman, who bowled a couple of overs full of pressure.
Shakib Al Hasan! Unfit or Out of form? – Shakib Al Hasan is their main strength when it comes to crucial matches but this time he might sit our due to his poor outings and that could be because of his fitness. Earlier, he refused to take part in the tournament due to his poor fitness but BCB forced him; the decision which is not going well right now. It would be interesting to see whether Masrafe will include Shakib in the playing XI or not.
Cricwizz Prediction – If Bangladesh can score 300 after batting first, this would be their biggest victory of all time else mark India as favourites to lift the title again.
