The visitors were going extremely well with their bowling department on Day 3 before Jos Buttler and Sam Curran once again came as a thorn in India’s flesh. Curran, who has been amazing with the bat so far, ended the day with 37 not out. Overall, England finished the day with a decent lead of 233 runs. Another 70 runs from here can actually put India on the back foot.
Another disaster for Cook and Jennings
Both the openers are continuously getting their chances but none of them is able to convert it into big ones. Cook especially is one of their strengths who is desperate to score while Jennings most probably could make way for some other player for the fifth Test. Cook’s ouster could also be possible and it won’t be a surprise.
Sensational Shami picked up 3 wickets
Mohammad Shami set a terrific example of accuracy and perfection on Day 3 as the speedster was phenomenal with the ball; picking up 3 wickets including Jennings, Rashid and Bairstow, who got out on the first ball just after the lunch. A major responsibility would be on his shoulders only to remove the remaining 2 players in order to get a decent amount of target to chase.
2-2 on the cards?
India have a great chance of winning this game and level the series 2-2. They would be having around 150 overs to chase the target which is very much possible. Fans can witness a history created by the Indians if they can win this Test match. So, all to play for on Day 4.
