Veteran keeper-batsman MS Dhoni completed 10000 ODI runs on Saturday while playing against England. He became the 4th Indian to achieve this feat. The other three batsmen are Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly and Rahul Dravid. Also, the 37-year old became the second wicketkeeper after Kumar Sangakkara, to reach this landmark.
Dhoni also became the 12th overall batsman to reach this milestone of completing 10000 ODI runs. Though he couldn’t take his team to a victory, his big achievement was appreciated by everyone including Virender Sehwag, Sachin Tendulkar etc.
Earlier in the day, the former skipper became the first Indian keeper to take 300 ODI catches. Overall, he became the 4th international keeper to reach this milestone. Other three are Adam Gilchrist (417), Mark Boucher (402), Kumar Sangakkara (383).
On the game front, India and England are now levelled at 1-1 with the decider to be played at Headingley, Leeds. Both the sides would want to finish the series in their favour. Who do you think can win?
