West Indies strengths
Bowling attack

Shannon Gabriel
West Indies have few fiery pace bowlers in Kemar Roach and Shannon Gabriel who took a five-wicket haul each in the first Test. Roach’s spell was devastating in the first innings as he took 5/8 to bowl out Bangladesh for 43. West Indies won the match then and there itself as Roach was declared man of the match. Shannon Gabriel also made a difference to the end results, taking a five-wicket haul in the second innings. With Jason Holder for company, West Indies have their bowling resources covered.
West Indies weaknesses
Inconsistent batting
West Indies have been inconsistent with their batting so far. Kraigg Brathwaite struck a ton in the first Test, but rest of the batting line-up failed to captialise on the starts they got. Bangladesh batting can come under pressure in the face of a good bowling attack. West Indies need to overcome this weakness to be on top of their game and give a good fight to Bangladesh in the second Test.
Bangladesh strengths
Competitive unit

Bangladesh are a good bunch of competitive players and they can punch above their waist to give a tough fight to the opponents. Bangladesh have earlier beaten top teams such as England in Test cricket on the basis of their all-round skills. They have the resources, depth in batting and bowling line-up, to give a scare to West Indies on the latter’s home ground. Sri Lanka have had done it recently, and Bangladesh can also do it.
They need to work up a team effort to come out on top in the second Test. They have world-class players in Shakib Al Hasan, Mushfiqur Rahim, Tamim Iqbal, Mahmudullah and Bangladesh can spring a surprise or two in the second Test.
Bangladesh weaknesses
Lack of team effort
Bangladesh can be guilty of failing to work as a team and losing the momentum in a Test match. They are brilliant in patches and find it difficult to maintain the intensity throughout the match. Bangladesh need to overcome their inconsistencies to level the series.
Prediction: West Indies are a strong team at home and Bangladesh are still struggling to find their groove in Test cricket. Our vote goes to West Indies in this clash.
