Mumbai Indians won a solid thriller against KXIP at Wankhede to keep their hopes alive for the playoffs. They are at now 4th on the table and are very much in contention. Jasprit Bumrah bowled his one of the best spells of all time with 3 for 15 in 4 overs.
After opting to field first, KXIP skipper Ravi Ashwin started on a high note when his team took 4 wickets for just 71 runs. For a moment, it looked like MI would wrapped up within 150 but the big man Kieron Pollard scored a magnificent half century to set the stage.
Apart from Pollard, It was another KP Krunal Pandya who showed some class with his willow. In the end, couple of good strikes from Mitchell McClenaghan gave Mumbai Indians a decent total on the board.
Now, KXIP have to win their last game against Chennai Super Kings and so as MI against Delhi Daredevils.
