RCB is back on track with a good win over Mumbai Indians on 1st May. They beat the title holders by 13 runs to get back in their form. Skipper Virat Kohli and his army would now hope to beat the 2-time champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on Saturday at Pune. So, let’s have a quick glance at the strengths and weaknesses of both the sides:
Chennai Super Kings (CSK)
Positive on field – CSK will probably be the first team to reach the playoffs. They have played some terrific cricket in this IPL and Dhoni & Co. are set to achieve glory this year with their constant performances. Thala MS Dhoni too is in a form of his life as he outclassed every bowler that came his way in this season.

Home ground – It was a complete shocker when the IPL management decided to shift all the CSK’s matches to Pune. It looked like the squad will face issues on another turf due to unfriendly pitch but Dhoni’s CSK had some other plans. They played some ferocious cricket at Pune and would love to continue their good show against RCB too.
Death overs bowling – Chennai Super Kings spent lot of runs in the past few games, especially in the death overs. This could become the reason of their loss in the upcoming games. A step from here onwards can help them achieve comfortable victories in the future matches.
Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB)
Coming after an impressive victory – RCB played some brilliant cricket against Mumbai Indians. Though they are in the bottom four of the table, Kohli’s men are still capable of making it to the playoffs. CSK would be under a bit pressure after losing their encounter against KKR last night at Eden Gardens. So, it’s a good chance for RCB to move forward in the points table.
Kohli – De Kock mind game – Virat Kohli is not the only one making decisions on the field. He has Quinton De Kock as his deputy as well who always helps him during tough times. We have seen Quinton De Kock multiple times making calls from behind so, the duo can be effective in their encounter against CSK at Pune.

Lack of strong middle-order – Kohli, McCullum, De Kock and Manan Vohra are top order batsmen and can’t always be adjusted in the middle-order section. Even if we take Mandeep Singh and one overseas player, the slot doesn’t look strong enough who can fire everytime. So, they are totally dependent on their top order in the form of Kohli, McCullum and De Kock. A failure of two would be a failure of RCB.
Cricwizz Prediction: RCB have played some positive cricket in their last game. So, they are slightly above in this encounter.
