Afghanistan’s sensation Rashid Khan became the fastest bowler to take 100 ODI wickets during his spell of 1/42 in the final of ICC World Cup Qualifiers against West Indies at Harare on Sunday. Rashid Khan was on 99 wickets when he took the field in the final. His 100th wicket was Shai Hope whom he dismissed LBW in the final.
Rashid Khan took 44 ODIs to reach 100 wickets, beating the previous record of 52 matches held by Australian bowler Mitchell Starc.

Rashid Khan was the skipper of Afghanistan when the World Cup Qualifiers began and he lost his form before regaining it back when regular skipper Asghar Stanikzai came back to lead the team.
Rashid Khan took 5/41 against Ireland to jump to 96 wickets. And he finally achieved it in the final against West Indies.
The spinner’s performance was instrumental in helping Afghanistan to the final of ICC World Cup Qualifiers and helping the team get a wicket to the 2019 World Cup.
