Everyone’s favourite Kevin Pietersen is all set to leave cricket after this year’s Pakistan Super League. He has been exceptional throughout his International and Domestic career. Earlier this year, he played some handsome knocks for Melbourne Stars and now is set to deliver his best in PSL, which is going to be held in Dubai.

79 against Zimbabwe in 2007 World T20
England were struggling with 51 for 3 in the match and Pietersen was on the other end of the crease. He fired in his own style and scored a magnificent 79 in just 37 deliveries. With his fireworks, England reached a decent total of 188 runs in 20 overs, which was more than enough for Zimbabwe as they could score only 138 runs in their 20 overs. 58 against Pakistan in 2009 World T20
Kevin Pietersen once again became the hero in England’s win over Pakistan in 2009 World T20. While batting first, England posted a good total of 185, thanks to Pietersen’s innings of 58 off 38 that helped England reach such total. Pakistan, on the other hand, could score only 137 in 20 overs. Here’s the full scorecard:
73 against Pakistan in 2010 World T20
His love-affair with Pakistan continued in 2010 World T20 also. He scored a match-winning knock of 73 under pressure when England were chasing 148. Pietersen remained not-out till the end and helped his side win a last-over thriller. He scored his 73* in just 52 balls with the help of 8 fours and 2 sixes. Here’s the video the full match:
53 against South Africa in 2010 World T20
Kevin Pietersen was the biggest reason behind England’s victory in the 2010 World T20. He scored in almost every game and helped his side win their first-ever ICC trophy under the leadership of Paul Collingwood. In the game against South Africa, he smashed a quick 53 and set a decent target of 169 for South Africa. Africans lost the battle by 39 runs and Pietersen was awarded the Man of the Match for his scintillating knock. Here’s the video of the match:
62 against Pakistan in 2012 at Abu Dhabi
Yet again it was Pakistan who were destroyed by Pietersen’s bat, which was proved to be his last T20I. He scored a sensible 62* while open the batting in a low-score affair. England reached 129 with the help of his innings and guess what… they won the battle by 5 runs in the end. This was another Pietersen special! Here’s the whole scorecard:
