England won their first match of the series on Sunday against New Zealand by 2 runs. Though they won the match, the Blackcaps are through to the finals as they had a better run rate in the series. On the other hand, Australia won their all 4 games and are set to dethrone New Zealand in the finals. Let’s take a look at the strengths of both the squads:
MAX-WAR rule – Both Glenn Maxwell and David Warner are the backbone of the Australian squad. They played some scintillating knocks in the series, that helped Australia reach the final comfortably. Now, they wouldn’t want any mistake to happen in the final.

Formidable Pace-attack – Australians are known for their pace-attack from the era of Dennis Lillee. They found the legends like Brett Lee, Glenn McGrath during the late 90s and didn’t stop thereafter. The likes of Kane Richardson, Andrew Tye, Marcus Stoinis, Billy Stanlake are doing well for Australia these days. They are geared up to win the mega-finale against the Kiwis.
IPL Discard Guptill’s sublime form – Martin Guptill is not ready to stop as he is in his best form these days. He had a magnificent series so far. Though New Zealand just won 1 game out of 4, Guptill’s power-packed batting is a big boost for the side. If he fires in the Final, NZ can create history.
Home advantage – The final is set to take place on Wednesday at Eden Park, Auckland. Australia’s terrific form is on one side but Kiwis home advantage is another reason that can’t be ignored. New Zealand would want to win the clash anyhow by taking every home advantage but it won’t be easy to beat the in-form Aussies.
Cricwizz Prediction – Cricwizz predicts that Australia have 60% chance of winning the final.
