IPL 2018 is all set to kickstart in a few weeks. And fans can not just stop talking about the renewed rivalry between players of different franchisees. Royal Challengers Bangalore and Sunrisers Hyderabad have a great rivalry in IPL. Their players love to take on each other. Here are some of the battles to watch out for between RCB and SRH players in IPL 2018.
Virat Kohli vs Rashid Khan: He is one of the best batsmen in the world currently. And the other one is one of the promising and upcoming leg-spinners in world cricket. Hence, when the two will come together, it promises a lot of excitement. Who will come out on top? Virat Kohli or Rashid Khan? Can Kohli read Rashid’s googlies? Can Rashid stop a rampaging Kohli from running away with the game? It will be interesting to see Kohli goes about scoring runs and Rashid unleashing his bag of tricks.
AB de Villiers vs Bhuvneshwar Kumar: ABD has been a great servant of Royal Challengers Bangalore over the years. He has combined with Virat Kohli to play match-winning stands for RCB. He scored a match-winning fifty in 2016 IPL Qualifier 1 to help RCB enter the final. Bhuvi, on the other hand, has been a match-winner for SRH and played a big role in the team winning the 2016 IPL title. It will be a great sight to see two match-winners compete for supremacy. ABD can score off good balls, while Bhuvi can bowl those unplayable deliveries. Who will turn out winner?
David Warner vs YS Chahal: Sunrisers’ batting revolves around their skipper David Warner. SRH skipper and Shikhar Dhawan form a lethal opening combination. Warner leads from the front for Sunrisers. He has carried his bat on few occasions as well. He is a great player of fast bowling and spin. Hence, RCB will have a challenge at hand to dismiss Warner. In that situation, RCB skipper Virat Kohli would bank on YS Chahal to give him the prize scalp of Warner. Hence, it will be interesting to see how Warner fares against Chahal in IPL 2018. Or, it will be Chahal who will come out on top?
Shikhar Dhawan vs Umesh Yadav: The SRH opener has been consistent with the bat in IPL for his team. He and Warner matches each other with stroke for stroke as both loves to have a go at the opposition. Umesh Yadav, who has been drafted in the RCB squad for 2018 IPL, will bowl the new ball and will test Dhawan. Can Dhawan survive the pace and accuracy of Umesh Yadav? Or, it will be Umesh who will have the last laugh? RCB will count on Umesh to give them the early breakthroughs.

Brendon McCullum vs Rashid Khan: The former New Zealand skipper played for Gujarat Lions in last two IPL editions. He has been bought by RCB for IPL 2018 and will most likely open the innings. Rashid Khan has had the better of McCullum in 2017 IPL. McCullum had failed to read Rashid’s googlies and was out LBW. Rashid would love to have a go again at McCullum and give his team the early breakthrough. How will McCullum treat Rashid’s bowling? It will serve up an interesting contest.
