Delhi Daredevils winning the IPL Trophy is still a dream for almost every delhiite! Many big players tried their best from the inaugural edition but couldn’t succeed. Now, this time the local boy Gautam Gambhir has been picked by the franchise to make their dream come true. Gambhir tasted the IPL victory twice before with the Kolkata Knight Riders but his ultimate dream would be winning it for his actual home. He has the ability to repeat the feat once again with the help of some prominent stars in the squad. Let’s analyse Delhi Daredevils’ squad for this season:
GG back to den!
Its a big news for all the Delhi Daredevils fans as the local boy has been picked up this time. Kolkata fans were not happy on not retaining Gambhir in the retention but it was looking like he would be picked via RTM in the auctions, that too didn’t happen. In the latest statement by the KKR CEO, he said that Gambhir didn’t want to be the part of the squad anymore and wanted to play for DD, that’s why we didn’t retain him otherwise he was on our list of course.
Addition of Colin Munro & Trent Boult
Munro has been spectacular these days in the T20 cricket. His addition to the squad is big plus to the side as he might open the innings with Gautam Gambhir. Apart from him, DD will get services of Trent Boult, who indeed is one of the prominent fast bowlers in today’s era. Others stars are Kagiso Rabada, Rishabh Pant, Shreyas Iyer, Chriss Morris, Glenn Maxwell etc.
