Many fans gathered outside team’s hotel and at the airport in Guwahati to apologise for the incident in which a rock shattered the window of the Australian cricket team’s bus. The incident happened post India’s loss in the second T20I at Barsapara Stadium in Guwahati. Fortunately, no one was injured as the seat next to the shattered window was unoccupied.
Fans carried placards saying, “Sorry Aussies’ for the incident outside team’s hotel. Fans even queued up outside the airport to apologise for the incident.
Australian opener Aaron Finch had tweeted a pic about the shattered window and captioned it with, “Pretty scary having a rock thrown through the team bus window on the way back to the hotel!!”

According to cricket.com.au, a rock had pierced the window on the right-hand side of the bus when the Aussies were going to the team’s hotel post their win over India in the second T20I at Barsapara Stadium in Guwahati.
This was the first international match played at Guwahati and fans did not want BCCI to boycott them for future matches. Hence, fans joined in large numbers to apologise to all stakeholders concerned. Few Twitterati posted pics of fans queuing up in large numbers outside team’s hotel and airport, carrying placards in apology.

Post this incident, security will be enhanced during the last T20I at Hyderabad on Friday. Currently, the series is levelled 1-1 and the third T20I is a virtual final at Hyderabad on Friday.
Australia had faced a similar incident of rock breaking a window during the tour of Bangladesh last month.
