It seems there is no end to Indian cricketers being trolled on social media. Now, it is the turn of Mohammad Kaif who was trolled incessantly for posting a picture of himself playing chess with his son on his Facebook account.
Kaif posted a picture of him playing chess with his son and captioned it with “Shatranj Ke Khilaadi #fatherson #kabirtales. But that was just the beginning of the story as Kaif was trolled by multiple people on social media.
Some fans posted that playing chess is ‘haraam’ (forbidden) in Islam and criticised Kaif for doing so with his son. It sparked a huge debate on Kaif’s facebook page.
Earlier this year, Kaif has posted a picture of him doing ‘surya namaskar’, a yoga pose. Kaif was criticised and trolled for dishonouring his religion.
It’s a not new thing that Indian Muslim cricketers are being targeting for sharing pictures on social media. Recently, Irfan Pathan was trolled for posting a selfie with his wife, who has covered her face with her hands but her arms and the nail polish were exposed. Pathan gave a perfect reply to the trolls by posting the picture again and captioning it with ‘Kuch to log kahenge logo ka kaam hai kehna but always #love #travel’. Even Mohammed Shami was targetted for posting picture of his family on social media.
