He cracked his third Test century against India in the ongoing Test series, becoming just the second visiting skipper to do so after Alastair Cook of England in the 2012-13 series.
Smith scored 109 in the Pune Test and 178* in the Ranchi Test and 111 in Dharasala Test to become the second visiting skipper to score three tons in a Test series in India.
Alastair Cook cracked 176 at Ahmedabad, 122 at Mumbai, 190 at Kolkata against India in 2012 to become the first visiting skipper to do so.
