England have produced a good display with bat and ball to be ahead of India in the Rajkot Test. After gaining a 49-run lead, England openers Alastair Cook and Haseeb Hameed went about the task of building up the lead.
The two had put up 114-run partnership for the opening wicket with Hameed cracking 62 not out off 116 balls with 5 fours and one six. Cook is batting on 46 not out with 3 fours.
During his knock of 62 not out, Hameed became the third Englishman to score a fifty in Test cricket before the age of 20.
The first two Englishmen to have achieved such a feat are Jack Crawford in 1906 and Dennis Compton in 1937.
