The Pakistan Cricket Board has thrown their full weight behind Mickey Arthur as they extended the contracts of coaching staff on the request of the new head coach, an official said on Monday.
Batting coach Grant Flower and fitness trainer Grant Luden have been given another one-year contract. The duo had extended contracts until the end of the England tour but now will carry on until August 2017.
“We have extended the contracts of Flower and Luden on the request of Arthur as he feels both deserve extensions and form a good company with the rest of the staff,” said a PCB official.
Although Flower came under regular criticism from former Pakistan players, yet results show he has done remarkably well with the batsmen while Luden’s contribution is also praised by team players.
