Mushfiqur Rahim became the second Bangladeshi cricketer on Wednesday to score 6,000 runs in List A cricket when he hit an unbeaten 66 runs during the Dhaka Premier League match between Mohammedan Sporting Club and Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club.
Mushfiq needed 18 runs to reach the milestone having started the game at Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium with 5,982 runs to his name.
He reached the milestone in 13 overs of the innings before guiding his team Mohammedan to a comfortable six-wicket win over Sheikh Jamal Dhanomndi Club.
Tamim Iqbal is the only other Bangladeshi to achieve the milestone in List A cricket so far.
Tamim scored 6,172 runs while Mushfiq now has 6,048 runs.
Shakib Al Hasan remained distinctively third with 5,130 runs.
