Sunrisers Hyderabad left-arm fast bowler Ashish Nehra, who was ruled out of IPL 2016 due to a hamstring injury had a successful knee surgery in London. Nehra who had sustained a high-grade tendon injury was recommended to consult an orthopedic specialist in London after BCCI’s medical team assessed and investigated his injury.
A tweet from Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) mentor VVS Laxman informed his fans about Nehra’s successful surgery. Nehra had injured himself while bowling in an IPL match against Kings XI Punjab and was ruled out after tests. It is known that Grade-1 hamstring injury takes at least 3 weeks to heal and hamstring tendon injury may take anywhere between 3 and 6 months to heal, which also includes rehabilitation.
