Bangladesh won the toss and elected to bat first in their Asia Cup Twenty20 tournament match against Sri Lanka at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka on Sunday.
Sri Lanka opened their campaign with a 14-run win over the UAE while Bangladesh defeated the same opponents by 51 runs after a 45-run loss to India in the tournament opener.
Sri Lanka rested skipper Lasith Malinga, who is still recovering from a knee injury. Test captain Angelo Mathews is leading the team in his absence.
Thisara Perera was included in their only change while Bangladesh fielded an unchanged squad.
