26 is the number of dismissals effected by Kumar Sangakkara of Sri Lanka in World T20, the second highest scalps by a wicketkeeper in this tournament after Kamran Akmal’s 30.
Kumar Sangakkara has been one of the finest wicketkeeper-batsman to have played cricket. He guided Sri Lanka to their maiden World T20 title in 2014 by making a fluent fifty. He has also been excellent behind the stumps.
However, in World T20, he is second to wicketkeeper Kamran Akmal of Pakistan in terms of dismissals effected. While Kamran Akmal has 30 dismissals, Sangakkara has 26 scalps in 31 matches, one match more than his Pakistan counterpart.
Sangakkara has effected 12 catches and 14 stumpings in World T20.
