After back-to-back losses against the spirited South African side, West Indies managed to clinch on and keep the series alive by leveling the 5-matches T20I series, 2-2. The series decider is set to be played at the National Cricket Stadium in Grenada, the same as the remaining matches were conducted.

The 4th T20I saw West Indies struggling at one stage at 101/6 in the 16th over. The hosts needed some form of magic and it was once cast out by none other than the powerful hitter- Kieron Pollard, the all-rounder went on a rampage as he scored a quick-fire 51 off 25 balls, setting up a target of 168 for the proteas to chase down.

A total team effort. Dwayne has been phenomenal. The chatter around these guys is very disappointing- Kieron Pollard after winning the MOM

Disciplined bowling by the West Indies side meant that they managed to stay alive in the series by a margin of 21 runs.

Can the proteas bounce back to win the crucial series decider? Or will the power-hitting of WIndies prove too strong for the visitors?

Weather conditions

The conditions are not quite in favor of cricket as heavy rains are expected throughout the course of the day. Thus, we might be looking at a curtailed game between the sides. The temperature is reported to be hovering at 29-26 degrees celsius. While the humidity at the peak is likely to touch the 80 percent mark.

Pitch report

The strip is known to be a batting paradise and it has not disappointed. However, continuous usage of the pitch over the last week has made the pitch slow down and for that reason, we saw the spinners get some assistance.

Taking the pace off will be an important factor and the team winning the toss should be looking to bat first and set a target above the 175 mark.

Team News

West Indies made a bold decision by resting their key all-rounder Jason Holder and his replacement Fidel Edwards failed to impress in the given oppurtunity but is he likely to make the playing Xl given his experience could be of great utility.

South Africa on the other hand have been struck with a huge blow their spearhead Anrich Nortje suffered a knee bruise. They would be hoping the 27-year old is able to make the cut. Lungi Ngidi, who has been having a nightmare series after giving away 165 runs in this series might be replaced by Lizaad Williams.

Probable Playing Xl

West Indies (WI): Evin Lewis, Lendl Simmons, Chris Gayle, Shimron Hetmyer, Nicholas Pooran (wk), Kieron Pollard (c), Andre Russell, Fabian Allen, Dwayne Bravo, Obed McCoy, Fidel Edwards

Another valuable pick in the line-up could be Dwayne Bravo, who is the leading wicket-taker in this series with 9 to his name.
