The 20th and last match of the Lanka Premier League 2020 (LPL 2020) are set to take place between the table-toppers Dambulla Viiking and third-placed Colombo Kings. Both the teams have sealed their play-offs spot and they will be only playing for places.
The last time both the teams faced each other, it was the Viiking who finished on top after managing to win the match by 28 runs. The coin fell in favor of Viiking’s skipper Dasun Shanaka and they chose to bat first. With the help of a brisk fifty by the skipper, himself, and valuable runs from the middle-order they were able to reach a par score of 175.
The Kings in return were clueless after they lost their opener- Dinesh Chandimal for a golden duck and things from there on were down the lane for the Colombo Kings and ended up giving the two valuable points to the Dambulla Viiking.
It is certain that the teams will now be part of the semi-finals but a win here for the Kings could see a rematch between these two in the all-important play-offs.
