Chennai Super Kings will take on the Rajasthan Royals for the 25th time since the inception of the Indian Premier League at the Wankhede Stadium tomorrow. Both teams failed to make bright starts to the tournaments losing their opening matches, with only Rajasthan coming close looking to pull off an unlikely chase.

Last year wasn't a year to remember for Dhoni and co after losing both the matches in the doubleheader against Rajasthan Royals. The first victory came off some exceptional performances as a bowling unit after which Jos Buttler brought home the win for the Royals. The second match was a much more evenly contested match, but the Royals claimed victory by 16 runs.

Will Rajasthan Royals continue their recently found dominance over the Chennai Super Kings? Or will Dhoni and co bounce back proving everything else to be a minor blip?

Pitch

The Mumbai pitch in regards to the last four matches players here have produced two contrasting results at the two ends of a spectrum, two being high scoring games and the other two being low scoring thrillers. The pitch playing out much akin to the one on offer in Chennai, the batsman will continue to struggle to score runs with bowlers holding the key.

Team News

CSK camp looks to be unaffected by covid and has a clean bill of health. Ruturaj Gaikwad who scored runs in plenty last season has struggled to get going this season. With Robin Uthappa waiting on the wings, the management will be tempted into making a change. Another cause of worry is the form of Ambati Raydu, with IPL 2021 auction big money signing K Gowtham closely competing.

Rajasthan Royals have been rattled by the injuries to Jofra Archer and Ben Stokes, and their exclusion has really affected the quality of the team. David Miller though did a good job coming back to the side and playing a prominent inning in their victory in the last match. The management will be looking not to ring too many changes to this winning side.
