Rajasthan Royals are set to lock horns with Kings Xl Punjab at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium in what will be the 9th match of the Indian Premier League 2020. Both the teams will be coming into the match on the back of wins. RR stunned the 2019 runners-up CSK by scoring a thumping 216 runs which proved too many for the Men in Yellow as they fell short by 16 runs.
KXIP on the other hand come into this match after defeating RCB by one of the largest margins in the history of IPL. After losing their first match to Delhi Capitals after a poor show in the super over. KXIP needed the win badly and the captain once again led them from the front by scoring a whopping 132* of a mere 69 balls. RCB were left clueless as they were dismissed for 109 runs which is now the lowest score in this season.
Rajasthan Royals despite without their key players- Ben Stokes and Jos Butler did a very good job in the match against CSK and will be looking to repeat the same. For the Punjabi team a lot would depend on the captain on how they go about the things.
The match does promise to be a thrilling one as both the teams seem to be in great shape and form. Can RR make it two out of two? Or will the KXIP captain dominate RR like he did against RCB?

The weather as expected is reported to be clear as always in the desert country. Temperatures are likely to hover around the 31-32 degree mark, which is slightly lower than usual. However, Humidity is expected to be on the higher side, reaching up to 67% later in the evening.
The pitch in Sharjah does favor the batsman in playing big shots and is likely to the same for this clash as well. Said that, the pitch does hold up at times which as seen in the previous matches has helped the spinners pick up a few wickets.
The due has been playing a crucial role throughout this edition especially with all matches scheduled to be played in the evening. For this very reason, the team winning the toss by default will be looking to chase.
KXIP have not reported any injury concerns and are likely to play the same Xl that dismantled the RCB side by 97 runs.
Rajasthan Royals on the other side will still be missing the key player Ben Stokes who is still in New Zealand owing to personal reasons. While, the RR camp would be very excited to welcome the English hard-hitter Jos Butler. The return of Jos Butler would mean the South African batsman David Miller will have to be the one to make way for him.
